The Big Green Poetry Machine needs you, Eco-kid, to send your message out to world! We know you want to grow up in a clean, bright, safe, happy world and it’s time for us all to take action. Let’s work together to make our future brighter.
To help you write your poem we’ve got a few tips to get you started:
Think about what your poem is going to be about. How can you make a difference and make the world a better place? (There are ideas at the bottom of this page if you are stuck!) Think of some words to do with your idea. Do any of them rhyme? Poems don't have to rhyme though, you could try to write a haiku, kennings or a sense poem instead. Speak to your teacher and classmates, share ideas if you want to. How does your idea make you feel? Sad? Angry? Helpless? Can you make the reader feel what you are feeling? Write down your ideas!If we like your poem it will be published in a special Big Green Poetry Machine book, made from environmentally friendly paper of course!
